June Favorites

Guys, June has come and gone, and I
feel like I did nothing. It's so crazy how things can just go by so fast and you never even realize! So like every month, let's look back and see what was the best of the month. Vamos!

(Disclaimer: I am writing this on my phone so there won't be links to things like normal. Sorry!)

Beauty:
For the beauty section of June favorites, I have picked a mouisterizer/toner/sunscreen. It is by Nars, and it is the Nars "Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 30 Sunscreen." At first I thought it was just a tinted moisturizer but it was a lovely surprise to find that it is also a sunscreen. For me that is fantastic because sometimes your face just feels piled with foundations and mouisterizer and just everything. But when things can be put together, that's less things I need to put on my face, and the lighter it feels.

Books:
Now for books... Technically this book hasn't come out yet but it was announced this week and I just can't wait. The book is "Girl Online" by Zoe Sugg. Now if you know me well, you know Zoe is my favorite Youtuber. She is just so easy to relate to. She goes through anxiety like I do, and she just gets people like me through it all. I don't know how she does it but she can just get you to forget your troubles for a few minutes and enjoy life. This book of hers is going to be a fiction book about a girl am who blogs online and all about. Her journey exploring the world and herself. Though it sounds a lot like her, she says it is not.

Movie:
The Fault in Out Stars. A.k.a. Perfection! The book was perfect, the movie was oerfect.just everything was perfect. I cried so hard I got a headache. Ansel Elgort was the perfect Gus, and Hazel Grace was played by the perfect Shailene Woodley. It just one of those movies that you have no words for, it's that good. And as a reader of the book I just want to say that it is not a let down. So anyone else who read it and is concerned it might not be good enough or live up to your expectations, don't worry. It will!

See you all next time with something new!

Moving out

As summer is finally here, that means I must leave my beautiful little house. :( I don't know if some of you know this but I actually don't live at home. I live in another house that is closer to a school. It's not a dorm, but I do have housemates (I think I've mentioned Ashley before).

The hardest part of moving out is packing. I'm not a super emotional person so I know when I leave I don't have to be upset because I'll see everyone when I move back in at the end of summer. But packing... Packing is a bitch!

(What I had to pack... Not fun.)

Packing for a vacation is okay because you just need to pack one suitcase which whatever you'll need. But packing to move out, you literally have to pack up your entire room. Not the easiest thing to do. And for me it's more complicated. About half way through the year my roommate had to move back to her home country, so like an idiot I decided I would just use her dresser to put some of my stuff way. This was an idiot thing to do because it ended up being not just one dresser... Oh no! I had  to use the whole damn room... Which meant that now, at the end of the year, I have to clean and pack up the whole room when I could of just packed up my half. Idiot.

But all in all, moving out isn't that bad. It gives me a chance to clean up and organize myself. And when I think about moving out, I think about summer and all the adventures I'm about to have. I mean I'm going to Spain! I'd pack up the world for that. And anyway, I'll be back in two months with new memories to make, and new messes to clean.

Quote of the Day: June 17

First off I apologize if I go off on a rant while trying to explain this. I rant to easy. (was that even english?? "I rant"....) Today's quote of the day isn't actually a quote I found, but one I made. I was having a conversation with my friend, and he was describing to me this girl that he really likes. He had gotten her flowers when she was in the school musical, he had asked her out to prom really cutely, they had gone to prom together and she said it was a great night; basically he had done all these cute things and she just wouldn't go out with him on a proper date. And he was saying how he thought he would never get her because of the cute things he had done, and how he was being a "nice guy." Which is crazy because he was basically Augustus Waters and how would anyone not want to go out with him?He was saying "nice guys finish last," "I'll never get her," etc. So of course like any good friend I reassured him of his awesomeness. (Now is when the quote comes in.) I told him:

"Nice guys finish last to girls who don't matter."

Aren't I the best? ;) Hope you guys enjoyed today's post. I will see you tomorrow with something a little bit different.

Sugar, Spice, and Everything Nice.

Today is going to be one of those days where everything is just kind of thrown together. Also I apologize in advance for this week. It is my last week before I go to Spain and also finals are this week, so I am very busy to say the least. So lets begin!

First I just want to say thank you for this: (List of countries where people who read my blog are from.)
To me this is amazing. I would never guess that people from all over the world would be reading what I wrote. I am a sixteen year old girl from a small town on Long Island, NY; I wouldn't think someone would read what I have to say in America, let alone the whole world. AND I am getting close to a thousand views (!! A Thousand!!!) That's alot of views, and I just want to say thank you! Thank you so much!

Secondly I want you to know that I have figured out what I will be doing for the next month while I am in Spain. I will be doing definitely one post a week, maybe two. The only thing is I will not be able to share on Google Plus+ or Twitter when I have posted it. So you'll just have to pay attention and check in every so often for when I will be posting stuff. I have June Favorites coming out, and some quotes so get excited. And when I come back from Spain I'm thinking about making a little video with photos and clips from my trip.

And lastly I want you to know that I have some new fashion posts and "Day in the Life" posts coming soon. I know a few people really liked them and requested I do more, so I will be definitely be doing some more for you. And if you have anymore requests or things you like me to do leave them in the comments below or email me them.

See you all tomorrow with something new!

The Dynamic Duo

I don't know if any of you know this, but I have long hair. Like really long hair. Like to-small-of-my-lower-back long hair. It is a pain in the butt and it is hard to maintain. It knots like nobodies business and doesn't get volume or curl because its so long, gravity just makes its straight. I know I'm not alone in the hair struggle. Hair is annoying and a real work. But if there is anything I have learned its that these two products I'm about to show you, might just save your day!

My God-like Products:

First off we have Moroccanoil. For anyone who doesn't know, Moroccanoil is a company that sell all different hair products. They have shampoo, conditioner, mousse, everything! But there one thing that I would kill for is their Moroccanoil Treatment, which is like an oil that you just apply to the ends of your hair. It smell amazing and just does wonders to your hair. I have seen so much improvement with the quality and silkiness of my hair. Worth every penny! And bonus: its' cap twists to lock. So now you can travel with it and you won't be afraid of it spilling everywhere.

Second is from a company called "it's a 10." They, like Moroccanoil, have shampoo, conditioner, leave-in products, etc. Their one product I buy everytime I go to the store is their miracle leave-in product. You just spray it all in your hair and then comb. It is one of the best detanglers I've used. I have been using this for over two years and haven't found a better product.

I hope you enjoyed my little rant about these products. They are amazing, and something you'll learn about me the more and more I do these sort of posts is I don't lie. If I say something is good and recommend it to you, it is because it is actually good and I think you could love it as much as I do. And if you have either of these two products you probably know what I mean when I say I would kill for these products. Also just FYI, it's a 10 you can find in any drugstore, i.e. CVS, Rite-Aid, etc. Moroccanoil is a bit more tricky. I have mostly found it at hair salons, though you can find it at Ricky's. Let me know if you liked this post and maybe I'll do more like this in the future. See you next week!

Window to the Soul

I'm not going to lie. I had a really good idea for today's post and I have literally just been sitting here trying to remember it. It was smart and clever, and I think you guys really would have liked it. But I pulled one of those stupid moments where I think "Oh I should write that down so I don't forget." And then I just don't write it down because I have some small hope that I won't forget, but of course I always do... All I know is what the quote was that I was planning on talking about.

"Eyes are the window to the soul."

This actually is a quote that is referred very often. It is known to be shared and talked about by famous people such as Edgar Allen Poe, William Shakespeare, Leonardo Da Vinci, etc. It is a timeless express, and I'd be shocked if anyone hadn't heard it before. Hopefully I can remember what it was I wanted to talk about, and maybe I'll do a follow up post about this another time. For now have a good rest of the day, and I'll see you tomorrow with a "Fun for all Friday" post.

Love Sara :)

Who does love a good set of fandom questions? :) Sorry if you don't know anything the follow is about... I tried to put some other questions in there too. (This was a request; send any other requests to my email!)

10. Eyebrow game: important? Not as much as other things.

The Real World

It's finals week! Well atleast for me... if yours were last week, hope you did well! With finals comes moving forward. Whether you are moving forward to college or the "real world," things are getting more serious and more challenging. Sometimes we like to put that pressure and stress and just put it on the back burner to be dealt with later, but we can't always do that. I found a quote that I really liked and if I were graduating I would seriously look at and consider. And even if you're not graduating it can still relate to you. Good Luck with everything!

I'm Bottling the Stars...

In honor of "The Fault in Our Stars" movie coming out today (!! I'm excited !!),  I thought we would have several of my favorite quotes from the book as the quote of the day. Just a little collage to get you in the spirit and ready to watch the movie.

WARNING: If you are going to watch it today or at anytime, bring tissues! Also read the book first! You can get the book here.

"You gave me a forever with in the numbered days, and I'm grateful."
"I bought them a minute. Maybe that's the minute that buys them an hour,
which is the hour that buys them a year. No one's gonna buy
them forever, Hazel Grace, but my life bought them a minute.
And that's not nothing."

"Because you're beautiful. I enjoy looking at beautiful people, & I decided a while ago not to deny myself the simpler pleasures of existence."

"You don't get a choose if you get hurt in this world, old man, but you do have some say in who hurts you. I like my choices."

"I'm in love with you, and I;m not in the business of denying
myself the simple pleasure of saying true things."

Hope you're all in the right place now to watch this movie. See you next week with something new!

We're all human...

I realized that yesterday I posted a "Sharing the Love" post when it was question day (which still doesn't have a cool name btw.) So fail on my part... So I'm doing the question day today! I finally have a decent amount of questions from you guys to make a full post. If you have any other questions you want to ask me you can ask me here or here. Also before we begin, just going to let you know, some of the questions I reworded. So I did take your questions, I just changed them. Let begin!

Sara Kay Stewart

Where are you from?
New York, but I was born in Missouri

How are you?
I'm good. But its getting to that time where everything is due, and there is so much to do.

Have you ever given someone a second chance?
Yes; I give too many people second chances.

Yes. But no one believes me because it changes color in the winter and summer. Also my highlights are natural but they look fake.

Place you want to visit?
England, France, Italy, Spain, Amsterdam...Basically all of Europe

Favorite band?
Clearly you haven't seen my May Favorites post.... Check it out here and then come back.

Why did you start this blog?
Because I love writing and I wanted somewhere to put my thoughts down. Also it's a way to connect with other people all over the world.

What is the meaning of life?
What ever you want it to be. But I like it to be happiness and search for knowledge.

Why do you have a roommate?
Because I don't want to live alone. And technically I have a housemate (no one lives in my room but me; though she does spend a lot of time in my room. (cause its the best room ever))

Sharing the Love: Iggy Azalea

I am not one to listen to rap music or anything like hip-hop, but Iggy Azalea might just be my exception...

"No money, no family... Sixteen in the middle of Miami. No money, no family... Sixteen in the middle of Miami."

She is an amazing artist, and her songs are actually really good. You probably know her music, even if you think you don't. She is the singer of the recently popular song, "Fancy." My favorite song of hers is "Work." It's very inspirational in a non-traditional way. If you listen to the lyrics and truly analyze it, (like I do to everything) you can hear the parts that are about her working to get to where she is now and how hard she had to work; hence the title "work."

"Pledge allegiance to the struggle.."

Not only is her music amazing but her body is flawless. She works the hips. She isn't like every other model or famous person. She isn't trying to look like a stick. Curves are natural, and she rocks it!

May Favorites

To think that May has already come and gone is crazy. I literally have like two weeks of school left (which means loads of papers have to be done...) But the end of May means May favorites time!

May has been so crazy and its hard to pick favorites just because I do so much during any given month, so to pick a few things here or there is hard... But there are definitely a few things that I have loved more than other!

Music:
I usually don't like to jump on board something when it first gets really popular because people will be like "oh well you only like it now because everyone likes it now..." So if something becomes super popular then I wait it out for a little bit to see if it's actually that good. So of course when everyone was talking about 5SOS (5 seconds of summer) I was hesitant to jump right in. But for the past week I finally caved and I haven't been able to stop thinking, breathing, listening, etc. 5SOS. I don't think I have ever fallen in love with a band so fast. If you're thinking "Who is this 5 seconds of summer?" Who are you and where have you been?! You can listen to my favorite songs of theirs here and here. You need to check them out. (I even got my dad to like them!)

Fashion:
As you can probably tell... I love shopping! I love fashion and new clothes and seeing what the lastest fashion is! I just love it all. And when everyone was talking about their new spring/summer outfits it got me thinking, I have no new clothes for summer! I immediately jumped to my computer and went to Boohoo (my favorite online store!). They have all the greatest clothes and styles. They have something for everyone. And even better they have such low prices for such good material!

(I'm so excited to wear this outfit! :) I mean who wouldn't be)

Books:
I have gotten so into reading lately. I always do this thing where I'm into reading and I read like 10 books, on after another, after another. But then suddenly I just stop and don't read for like ever! (naughty, naughty...) But since I saw the trailer for one of my current favorites, If I stay, I had to re-read the book, and I fell in love all over again. If you read it you'll know why. Its just so well written and such a great story plot. So go check it out if you're interested. You can buy it on Amazon here for literally 6 dollars(!!!). Such a bargain!

That is the end of my May Favorites, hope you enjoyed today's post. See you all tomorrow with something new!

Love Sara :)
